My name is Donna Visone-O'Brien. I have been an educator in the William Floyd School District for 16 years. Prior to teaching in Paca I taught in Woodhull Elementary School and Hobart Elementary School. Earlier in my career I taught in the Miller Place, Northport and Connetquot School Districts. I attended the Harrt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut and Hofstra University and earned my Master of Arts Degree from New York University. As a graduate student, I had the wonderful opportunity to study in Italy. I perform regularly in the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra at the yearly performances of the Nutcracker Ballet. I have performed in China, Japan and Hong Kong.
My husband teaches middle school Social Studies. I have three children. My oldest son is a Social Worker who works at the VA Hospital in Northport, my other son is a Junior in college and my daughter is a Junior in High School. Along with my passion for music, I love to travel with my family, jog, bike ride and kayak. I love to experience adventures in nature as well. I have kayaked in Everglades National Park, biked through the Sonoma Valley of California and hiked the Rocky Mountains. Recently, I took a bike trip to Ireland with my family. I am looking forward to performing this year with my beautiful new Italian violin and French bow.
